As an artist, I find my self constantly in awe of the wilderness and natural environment. Therefore, extensive travel and much time spent outdoors has inspired my forms and colors. The extent and intensity of my color palate-bright greens and blues are reflective of the favorite places in my life. The lake, the sky, the waterfalls, and vast forest surrounding my studio in the country and of course, my love of gardening, all influence my decisions of hue and tone. The strength of form and organic rounded volume of my stone carvings also share in this same influentuality. My work is mainly glass with some paint some accessory wood, and some metal-appear multimedia, but in most cases, it is the glass that I use to send my message. Incorporating hot and cold elements, laminating and carving, I intend to create form and space movement and colorful images in this new medium that excites and stimulates me to work, experiment and learn.
